Work readiness program, Soft-Skill Training Program
In collaboration with the Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission and ASAP Kerala, AWH Engineering College successfully conducted a Three-day soft-skill training program from March 25 to March 27, 2024. The program catered specifically to final year students of civil engineering and mechanical engineering, aiming to enhance their professional readiness and employability.
Led by trainers from ASAP Kerala, Ms. Athira PS and Ms. Anagha S, the program focused on a range of essential skills vital for professional excellence. Participants underwent intensive training in professional etiquette, interview skills, resume writing, networking, leadership, and public speaking.
The “Work Readiness Program” served as the core component, meticulously designed to equip students with the necessary tools to excel in job interviews, group discussions, resume preparation, and cover letter writing. Practical, hands-on learning was emphasized throughout the sessions, ensuring participants gained experiential knowledge.
Each class commenced with an ice-breaker session to foster a comfortable learning environment, followed by discussions on goal setting and SWOT analysis. Mock activity sessions provided students with valuable practice, preparing them for real-world scenarios.
By the program’s conclusion, participants were not only equipped with essential soft skills but also gained the confidence to navigate the recruitment processes of various companies effectively.
The soft-skill training program was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication of the trainers, active participation of students, and support from Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission and ASPA Kerala.
