AWH Engineering College, in collaboration with the Unnati Foundation, successfully conducted a 30-day intensive employability skills training program titled “UNXT” for final-year students. The program was designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements, equipping students with essential skills needed to thrive in the professional world.
The UNXT program comprised approximately 90 hours of classroom training and 75 hours of online self-learning. Sessions were held for 3 hours daily over a span of 35 to 40 days, ensuring a comprehensive and immersive learning experience.
The training program was meticulously crafted to cover a wide array of topics essential for personal and professional growth. Key areas included Spoken English and Effective Communication Techniques, which are crucial for clear and impactful interactions in any professional setting. Mastering communication skills enhances students’ ability to articulate ideas effectively, an indispensable trait in the workplace. Additionally, Life Skills such as Self-respect, Time Management, Stress Management, and Effective Work Habits were emphasized. These skills are foundational for personal development, fostering a balanced lifestyle that supports productivity and well-being.
Employability Skills were another critical focus, covering areas such as Teamwork, Leadership Development, Problem Solving, and Conflict Management. These skills are essential for collaborative and efficient work environments, preparing students to meet the dynamic demands of their future careers. Practical sessions on Resume Writing, Interview Skills, and Mock Interviews provided students with hands-on experience to confidently navigate the job application process. Furthermore, the program instilled Essential Values Systems like Punctuality, Responsibility, Honesty, Caring & Sharing, Gratitude, Humility, and Respect. These values not only shape a student’s professional demeanor but also contribute to their overall character development.
Mr. Aneesh from Unnati Foundation led the program with a focus on interactive and activity-based learning. The training methodology combined theoretical knowledge with practical exercises to ensure students could immediately apply what they learned. This approach helped in reinforcing the concepts and skills covered during the sessions.
By the end of the training program, a remarkable transformation was observed in the participants. During the feedback session, students highlighted several key benefits they gained from the program:
- Improved Attitude: Students reported a significant change in their attitude towards challenges and opportunities.

Students who successfully completed the program received certificates of completion. Furthermore, placement guidance was provided to assist them in securing job opportunities, ensuring they are well-prepared for their careers.
The “30-Day Employability Skills Training Program” concluded on March 22, 2024, with a feedback session where students shared their positive experiences and the tangible benefits they gained from the program. The collaboration between AWH Engineering College and Unnati Foundation has undoubtedly paved the way for these students to achieve greater success in their professional journeys.
